A contempary Dance..!!Dance Homework..!!
Laban is included one of the worlds best centers for professional contempoary dance artists or trainers. on the other hand, they also had the highest rated dance in the gaurdian higher Education. Also 100% of their graduated students from the years 2007-08 were employed or either had futher studies six months after their graduation.!
The site is located n Deptford SouthEast London.
MY TIP.!!=]
WHAT IS CONTEMPOARY DANCE?
I think that contempoary dance makes modern dance techniques as philosophies of movement that are different from classical dance techniques.
It is also a dance that employes systems found in postmodern dance.
CONTEMPOARY BALLET.
Contempoary Ballet is a dance influenced by classical ballet and modern dance.
You must use pointwork in this piece of dance, even though it uses a greater range of movement that dos'nt come across certain body lines, instructed by schools of ballet techniques.
George Balnchine is most of the times recommended to be the first piorneer of contempoary ballet. Whereas now in the modern day it is called Neoclassical ballet, A style between the two.
Balanchine most of the time would use his feet hands or centred positions as his pointwork to start his dance piece.

A Dance That Uses a Prop..!! Dance HomeWork.!!
Footloose was originated in 1984. It was opened at Broadway’s Richard Rodgers in 1998 on October 22nd. This musical has been shown to numerous Productions, and was/is performed with such creativity and exciting expressions in their dance. It was directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by A.C.Ciulla.
It is one of the most frequent performed school musicals in recent years, at least in the United States.
However in their pieces of dance, they use various props such as:
· Chairs
· Lockers
· House doors
· Dinner hangout spot
· Handmade Costumes
Their choreographed moves are very Energetic and shown with flair.
WHY DO DANCERS USE PROPS IN DANCE?
Dancers use props to make their dance moves interesting, also I think if they do use props it shows rhythm and more expressiveness in the dance rather than having no props at all.
WHAT ARE PROPS?
Props are objects that dancers manipulate or use to enhance their dance.
I have also included props to the dance that I have created with the rest of my classmates we used things like:
- Hat, Scarves, Gloves, Coat
- Pyjamas
- Mug
- Blanket .etc.
They were of good use to our dance and they also helped us to tell a story using them.

Annie Get Your Gun Review..!!=]
Today I went to the young vic with the rest of the diploma students to watch a musical called Annie Get Your Gun.
I Found out that this play The Whole Story Revolves Around Annie Oakley. Who seems to be a Illiterate hillbilly who loves shooting Guns. But whilst She was Persuaded to join Buffalo Bill's travelling Wild West Show, she eventually falls hopelessly in love with Frank Butler, the show's featured shooting star. But when Annie intimidates Frank as the show's main attraction, she realizes she'll have to make some Difficult decisions if she wants to win the man she loves.
Sooooo Blogger..!=]
Annie Oakley enters and shoots a bird off Dolly Tate's hat, and then explains her simple backwoods ways. When Wilson learns she's a brilliant shot, he enters her in the shooting match against Frank Butler.
While Annie waits for the match to start, she meets Frank Butler and falls instantly in love with him, not knowing he will be her opponent. When she asks Frank if he likes her, Frank explains that the girl he wants will "wear satin and smell of cologne",. The rough and naive Annie comically laments that "You Can't Get a Man with a Gun". At the shooting match, Annie finds out that Frank is the "big swollen-headed stiff" from the Wild West Show. She wins the contest, and Buffalo Bill and Charlie Davenport, the show's manager, invite Annie to join the Wild West Show. Annie agrees because she loves Frank even though she has no idea what "show business" is. Frank, Charlie, Buffalo Bill, and everyone explain that "There's No Business Like Show Business."
Over the course of working together, Frank becomes enamoured of the plain-spoken, honest and tomboyish Annie and, as they travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota on a train, he explains to her what "love" is. Buffalo Bill and Charlie find out that the rival show, Pawnee Bill's Far East Show, will be playing in Saint Paul, Minnesota while the Wild West Show plays in nearby Minneapolis. They ask Annie to do a special shooting trick on a motorcycle in Minneapolis to draw Pawnee Bill's business away. Annie agrees, since the trick will surprise Frank.
As Annie and Frank prepare for the show, Frank plans to propose to Annie after the show. When Annie performs her trick and becomes a star, Chief Sitting Bull adopts her into the Sioux tribe. Frank is hurt and angry, and he walks out on Annie and the show, joining the competing Pawnee Bill's show.
The Buffalo Bill show tours Europe with Annie as the star, but the show goes broke, as does Pawnee Bill's show with Frank. Annie, now well-dressed and more refined and worldly, still longs for Frank. Frank and Pawnee Bill plot a merger of the two companies, each assuming the other has the money necessary for the merger. They all meet at a grand reception, where they soon discover both shows are broke. Annie, however, has received sharpshooting medals from all the rulers of Europe worth one hundred thousand dollars, and she decides to sell the medals to finance the merger, rejoicing in the simple things.
When Frank appears, he and Annie confess their love and decide to marry, although with comically different ideas: Frank wants "some little chapel," while Annie wants "a big church with bridesmaids and flower girls". When Annie shows Frank her medals, Frank again has his pride hurt, and they call off the merger and the wedding. They agree to one last shooting duel. Annie deliberately loses to Frank to soothe his ego, and they finally reconcile, deciding to marry and merge the shows.

Im Back..! Today Was Very Stressful, My First Lesson was Dance and Miss Shrub Was disappointed and letdown Down because the majority of us Didnt Bring in our homework which was not on because we had plenty of time to complete it. Especially me Because I completed some of it and I told (you) that I would finish It of but I did'nt. But Dont Worry Blogger Its all sorted.
At the start of Dance Miss Shrub got us to play a game called stuck in the mud, It was really helpful for our bodies and after we played it we all felt relaxed and ready for our next position.
In my group we refreshed our memories and rememberd the dance that we improvised and improved last lesson, we still used the same props but this time we changed everything the way we stand, the way we move. We learnt that whilst doing our movements we could make them more expressive than how it was before,For example if i would pull my arm towards the round to pick up a prop, I could reach out with more feeling and rather than just pulling my fingers towards the floor.
I started to get cramps in my stomach because of personal reasons but. Although iwent to the toilet and missed a bit of the work but I still manged to co-operate with the rest of my group members. They quickly showed me how i should do certain things in the last part of our Dance
and i caught up with them. After Both of our groups recorded our Dance, It actually turned out great although we couldnt see a playback of what we had produced but we all felt good that we had completed the task for today, and Miss Shrubb was really impressed.
And I left my dance lesson with a good feeling because at he start of the lesson She was'nt pleased with a number of girls including me but I know that by next week she would be convinced tha i would take my coursework much seriously rather not complet it then have her to keep reminding me.

Bollywood Music.!!.19-11-09
Today I Had Music Lessons All Day. I Did Alot Of New Things Me And The Rest Of The Students Were Told That We Would Be Recording Our Own Version Of A Bollywood Soundtrack. It Was Very Interesting.
So Our Teachers Assigned To Be In Groups Of 3 and These 3 Groups Signified That One Group Would Take Part In Either:
- Percussion,
- singing,
- instruments.
And I Chose To Do Percussion,And In That Group I Found It really Interesting And I learnt New things. And In My Group We Had Chosen From Different Types Of Drums and I Chose The Djemba' Which I Thought Was The Most Exciting and Easier. But Before we All Played Our Drums, Our Teacher Mr Craig (Neil) Who was an Expert In Percussion He also Taught Us How To play A Drum That was Called Tabla'. It Was Very Difficult to play Whilst all of us Took turns, But Whilst Watching him play it I Found Out How Indian people use Their Music In Bollywood Which Was Interesting And Factful.
We then had our lunch and some fresh air before we got back to practising our music. As we got to the music room we were all just focused on our tasks because it was too interesting and none of us wanted to get our work wrong so we all gave 100% which was really good. After we had our second break we had a run through what we came up with as our boolywood song And had to keep repeating it whilst recording because none of the teachers or us students wanted it to sound not great after we heard it.And It didnt sound bad it was brilliant as our teacher said and we all felt good that we came up with such good music with just all of us together. That was what I liked the most about it.And whilst saying this I dont think there's anything that I didnt like or find intersting or would like to change because I found everything fun and Interesting.
And I would'nt mind having another experience of today..!!=]bye blogger.!x

Winter..Unit 2
Today I Had Learnd Alot In Both My Dance And Drama Sessions. They Were Both Related To The Theme That I Am Doing Which Is Winter. In Dance We Were Given A Sheet That Had The Topic Winter On It And We Had To Brainstorm On It,Writing Things That We Thought Of When We Heard The Word Winter. I Did'nt Really find It That Difficult Because It Was'nt That Much Of A Bad Task. We Also Improvised A Dance Which Was Linked To Our Drama Play But In A Miming Form Of Creative Dance. It Was Brilliant And We All Caught Up To The Dance And The Whole Lesson Was A Good Turn Out. At The End Our Teacher Had Given Us Homework To Do And We Have To Submit It By Next Week..=] So Guysz I Hope I Dont Forget My Homework. Before I forget Betsy Was'nt In School For Drama Which Made It Difficult To Keep Up In The Play But We Still Got Through It My Group Stayed Focused On The Task,We Also Added A Song In To The Play Which Sounded Really Good And I Know That The Children Will Definately Want To Join In While We Are Singing The Song And Its Called (What Shall We Do With A Drunken Sailor)Most Of Us Memorised Half Of Our Scripts For Our (Dick Whittington And His Crazy Cat) Play That We Have To Perform at Varios Primary Schools....=] Cant Wait Its Going To Be soooo Good But Blogger I Have To Go Now And Catch Up On My Work.....=]
Bye For Now...xX
